Overview:

The Department of Financial Services (DFS), in collaboration with the Indian Banks' Association (IBA), launched a nationwide Hackathon Series led by Public Sector Banks (PSBs), in partnership with premier institutions such as IITs, universities, and scientific research organizations.

As part of this initiative, DFS invited PSBs to share key problem statements and innovative ideas aimed at addressing real-world challenges in the banking sector.

Objectives of the Hackathon Series:

  • Foster collaboration between Public Sector Banks, educational institutes, and students.
  • Encourage innovation and prototype development on identified problem statements within the banking sector.
  • Promote the use of technology and digital tools to improve banking services.
  • Provide opportunities for entrepreneurship by identifying commercially viable solutions.
