- Development and promotion of International Trade Settlement in Indian Rupees including implementation of Special Rupee Vostro Account (SRVA) mechanism for promoting trade settlements in Indian Rupees (INR) and facilitating international trade transactions
- Internationalization of India’s financial services and Digital Public Infrastructure
- Facilitating expansion of UPI and RuPay cards globally
- Management of issues related to Cryptocurrency and Virtual digital assets.
- Support to Indian banks operating in foreign jurisdictions to resolve operational hurdles.
- Advancing initiatives related to the International Financial Services Centre (GIFT City).
- Financial Compliances: Managing compliance for PMLA (2005), KYC standards, and Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) including coordinating with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC).
- Remittances & Investment: Oversight of the Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS), FCRA banking issues, and disputes under Bilateral Investment Promotion Agreements (BIPA).
